On 12/20/2020 the audience joined us on Zoom for a chance to meet the creators of The Light of Hope Returning and view a preview of the concert. Composer Shawn Kirchner and WomenSing conductor Ofer dal Lal described how this project came into existence, and the vision for it to become a cross-border collaboration with Canadian artists, Elektra Women’s Choir (Artistic Director, Morna Edmundson) and soloist Allison Girvan, who were also in attendance. Kevork Mourad, an engaging speaker as well as the animation artist for the project, was on hand to share some of his artistic process. Viewers had the opportunity to chat with the artists and ask questions in this hour-long session.
